The 2013 peak of the solar maximum has fizzled out - sunspot activity remains very low. Scientists now think we may be headed for a new, prolonged minimum. So we may get a 20-30 year respite from global warming if this pans out. But once the minimum fades and the sun returns to normal activity, the warming kicks in again. Article here

EXPECT A MAJOR ICE COLLAPSE SOMETIME SOON
The weakening of sea ice shelves and glaciers all around the world continues to quicken. It is not long before a major collapse of a massive glacier on Greenland or another ice shelf collapse in Antarctica occurs - on a scale larger than we've ever seen. These areas of Greenland seem especially vulnerable.
